The award-winning Erie on the Park is a striking statement in steel. The sleek, 280-foot-tall residential
tower showcases 25 stories of exposed structure and an exterior curtain wall composed of steel, glass
and mirror. The result is a distinctive design that stands out in the Chicago cityscape, where concrete is
the typical choice for residential buildings.
The use of Tekla Structures 3D modeling enabled Thornton Tomasetti to facilitate erection speed and
achieve the desired building aesthetic. The result is a boldly modern structure that takes residential
construction in a new direction.
